SVETRO Ltd. Receives the TEX-DAN Made in Danube Label for Quality, Tradition and the Circular Economy

We are delighted to introduce SVETRO Ltd., one of the three Slovak companies that have been awarded the prestigious TEX-DAN Made in Danube label, granted within the framework of the international TEX-DAN project under the Interreg Danube Region Programme.
Based in the Banská Štiavnica region of Slovakia, SVETRO Ltd. is one of the country's leading manufacturers of knitted textiles. The company combines traditional Slovak craftsmanship with a strong focus on quality, transparency, and the principles of the circular economy. Its generational sweaters are designed to last for decades and to be passed down from one generation to the next.
For its approach, the company received 13 out of 15 points in the TEX-DAN Made in Danube evaluation and was also selected as a Grand Prize candidate.
What Makes SVETRO Stand Out
One of the company's greatest strengths is its 100% production traceability, ensuring complete transparency from raw materials to the finished product. Another key feature is the long lifespan of its products, which naturally supports the principles of the circular economy. Production waste is sent to the Czech partner RETEX for industrial recycling, helping to minimise waste and promote the efficient use of materials.
SVETRO also preserves traditional Slovak knitting craftsmanship while actively developing cooperation with partners both in Slovakia and abroad.
